כל שנה בשבועות שלקראת סיום השנה האזרחית אנחנו חוזרים ומאזינים לאלבומים שיצאו בשנה שחלפה, לקראת טקס חלוקת פרסי מת על מטאל. בניגוד לשנים קודמות בהן היו מלכתחילה אלבומים בודדים ברורים הראויים לזכייה, הרי שהשנה התחרות הייתה קשה, עם עשרות אלבומים מעולים שהקשו מאוד את הבחירה. עקב כך פנינו אליכם בפייסבוק מאזיני מת על מטאל שתתנו את דעתכם ותעזרו לנו להחליט מי הם האלבומים הטובים ביותר שהיו לנו השנה. וכך השנה לראשונה בתולדות טקס פרסי מת על מטאל יחולקו שני פרסים בכל קטגוריה: פרס בחירת הקהל ופרס מת על מטאל.
